A true leader in CLT production

The design of our plant enables a seamless workflow from the unloading of feedstock and materials within the facility, through to the movement of product along the primary manufacturing line, into final finishing and value-adding processes, and loading onto outbound vehicles.

Applying the learnings from our former plant, and sourcing the latest production technologies and equipment, the XLam manufacturing plant reflects global best practice in mass timber production.

The design incorporates one central span of columns that cater for a large overhead gantry crane and a vacuum crane.  This clear internal span is critical as it allows maximum production efficiency enabling unimpeded crane passage throughout the facility.

Importantly, Mass Timber forms an integral part of the building with the reception, offices, meeting rooms, research and development areas, IT hub, and staff amenities all built using our CLT and GLT and showcasing the functional beauty of Mass Timber Construction.

OUR GLULAM PLANT

A major manufacturer of Australian GLT

As one of the southern hemisphere’s largest manufacturers of glulam, we have been producing GLT for over 40 years. In 2019 our facility underwent a $24M upgrade and now has a footprint of over 4000m². The Glulam Plant is strategically located by Hyne’s Tuan Mill to optimise feedstock availability to ensure production reliability.

The plant is highly flexible and produces beams up to 16.8m in length, in multiple structural and visual grades, as well as durability treatments for suitability across a variety of applications. Products produced at the Glulam Plant have received ‘S’ Mark certification and are compliant with standards.
